Oregon Battle of the Books (OBOB)

Le Monde Parents hosts OBOB tournaments for elementary and middle school.

Dates TBD:

  • Elementary 3rd-5th grade Division: TBD Registration Coming…
  • Middle School 6-8th grade Division: TBD Registration Coming…

How do I register? Fill out the team registration forms (above) according to the students division by November TBD, 2021.

What is OBOB? In a tournament, teams “battle” each other, by answering questions about details of books on the OBOB book list for the applicable grade group division. Teams should be comprised of 3 or 4 members, and all members must be in the same division. There is a book list for grades 3-5 and there is a separate book list for grades 6-8.  Teams should only prepare for the 16 books on the book list applicable to their grade group division.  The respective book lists are below.

OBOB’s mission is to encourage and recognize students who enjoy reading, to broaden reading interests, to increase reading comprehension, promote academic excellence, and to promote cooperative learning and teamwork among students.

Unfortunately the regional and state tournaments have been cancelled this year due to COVID 19, but that’s not stopping our school from holding the school tournaments!
