Le Monde Fundraiser – La Fete

Event:  This is Le Monde’s big fundraiser for the school

Friends of Trees Planting

Event:  Plant street trees to beautify and help the environment.

Children’s Book Bank Clean-up and Repair

We’ve got a book drive, Battle-of-the-books, and a volunteer event – oh my!  Join us at the Children’s Book Bank on Saturday, February 9th as we clean-up and repair donated books.  There’s so much going on with books right now, let’s give our kids the full experience by getting together to volunteer mending and tending books for those who need them.  There are two sessions available – 9:30am and Noon.

Two sessions available:   9:30am – 11am and 12pm – 1:30pm
Focus:  Education, book cleanup/donations
Ages:   open to all ages with parent volunteer

*We will also be hosting a book drive at the school for donation to the Children’s book bank.

Humane Society Bake and Take/Cat Toy Making

Event:  Make treats and toys for animals in the shelter.

Oregon Food Bank Volunteer Sorting Activity

In an effort to give back to our communities and fight hunger, please join us on December 8th for a volunteer opportunity at The Oregon Food Bank.  We’ll be sorting foods like rice, pasta, apples or potatoes into family-sized packages.  Come make a difference while having fun!

FREE HOT SOUP!  –  Event Full! 

Winter is upon us and many people live outside in Portland or need access to hot meals.  Let’s show our kids what serving is all about by gathering on Friday, November 16th at 5:30pm to dish up soup to those who need our help.  This is a family-friendly, Le Monde volunteer team event!

Date:  Friday, November 16th from 5:30pm – 7pm
Focus:  Homelessness and food
Ages:  open to all ages with a parent volunteer

SOLVE, Eastside Cleanup

We will be picking up litter with SOLVE and doing graffiti abatement with the City of Portland Graffiti Abatement team. Please dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes – bring a reusable water bottle or cup to stay hydrated and reduce plastic use. All supplies and training provided, this is a family-friendly event.
