Collection Drive and Volunteer for Project Lemonade to Support Foster Youth

Share the Love this month! We are hosting a donation drive all February for foster youth. Plus an opportunity to volunteer on March 1st to sort donations from the drive and organize them for a store like experience for foster youth to shop. (See sign up below for more details).

Project Lemonade is a Portland, Oregon non-profit 501(c)3 with a mission to inspire self-esteem in foster youth.

We would love to see the Le Monde Community donate NEW or VERY GENTLY used/LIKE NEW clothing and shoes to donate to local foster youth. We know that every donation is filled with love intention, and please consider only donating new or like new items to give these children the positive self-esteem boosting experience they deserve. Donation bins will be at the school all February.

The highest priority items are new socks and underwear (just a few dollars at Old Navy or Target), also youth shirts and denim. They would be thrilled with gently used stuffed animals, books, or accessories like belts, wallets, jewelry suitable for teens and scarves. Collecting barely worn women’s and men’s Nikes or adidas shoes are also high priority. We know that we are a sneaker-head community and if moms, dads or older brothers and older sisters are in need of purging or thinning their collection we know some foster youth guys or gals who would welcome them!

Sign up to volunteer and sort the donations collected from our school and local businesses. These donations and the work we do allows foster youth a shopping experience where each person chooses his or her own new or nearly new outfits, accessories and shoes!
